Extensive portfolio of dietary supplements
The demand for dietary supplements has grown enormously in recent years. Warnke's portfolio includes more than 500 products from that field, for example to supplement the human metabolism with certain nutrients such as vitamins or minerals. Many of the products are offered in capsule form. Since 2013, the company has been banking on production machines from Harro Höfliger, which fulfil Warnke's requirements for flexibility and reliability.
The first Modu-C capsule filling machine installed at Warnke utilized the tamping pin dosing method, making it possible to fill the maximum amount of product into the capsule and achieving optimized compaction.
Two years later, the Cologne company ordered another machine of the same type to meet their production targets. The continuously rising sales figures for products available without a prescription were the reason why in 2017 Harro Höfliger also designed a Modu-C HS for Warnke. This easy-to-operate and clean capsule filling machine is capable of filling up to 200,000 capsules per hour. Precise weighing modules and various control systems ensure perfect product quality even at this high speed. At the beginning of their partnership with Warnke, Harro Höfliger carried out numerous dosing tests, for example, with turmeric powder. During these tests in the cleanroom, the specialists determined which dosing system was ideally suited for the product.
Since the premises at the headquarters in Cologne became too small, Warnke opened another production facility in Frechen. Excellence United partner Fette Compacting has also been cooperating closely with Warnke for a longer period and already delivered four tablet presses. In order to make capsule production even more efficient, all Harro Höfliger machines shall be installed in close proximity to each other in the future. In addition, Warnke is going to increase its machinery: In December 2020, they ordered two additional Modu-C HS capsule filling machines which are currently being installed at the customer's location.
