“Short chains of command and a great deal of self-reliance”

As the group manager of control technology, I am responsible for both producing software applications for specialized machines and for cross-project issues, as well as for working closely with the mechanical, electrical and construction departments. In doing so, I find short channels between the departments and target-oriented productive teamwork very valuable in my day-to-day work. Instead of rigid process chains, we concentrate on the best possible technological solutions and make product quality our highest priority.

Because I was given a great deal of autonomy as a young employee, I find working at Harro Höfliger exciting and challenging. Through our international customers I also have the opportunity to travel to countries outside Europe, including recently for a project in China.

I still like to look back on my beginnings at Harro Höfliger. It is a very pleasant feeling to be welcome in the specialist department. The company’s positive working atmosphere was tangible from the very first day and continues to inspire me today.
