More than 145,000 trade visitors came to Frankfurt/Main from June 11 to 15, where they could obtain information about new products and innovations from over 3,700 exhibitors from 55 countries. Harro Höfliger had a lot of those in store: In addition to upscalable laboratory devices, the exhibits included semi-automatic machines such as the powder micro-doser Drum Lab with drum filling technology, as well as machines for the assembly of injectors and for the production of the XStraw® drinking straw. Further highlights of the trade show were a machine for the aseptic liquid filling of plastic bags and flexible capsule filling. In addition to production processes at every automation stage, Harro Höfliger’s extensive range of services was the focus, especially the company’s Pharma Services with the Pharma Laboratory.
Although the ACHEMA attracted fewer trade visitors than three years ago, CEO Thomas Weller was very satisfied with the audience feedback and the many in-depth discussions: “At this leading trade show we were able to present our new developments and proven technologies, establish new contacts with international customers and further strengthen existing relationships. ACHEMA was a complete success for us, and we are proud of the results achieved.”
Digitization topics were in noticeable demand, also at Harro Höfliger’s trade show booth. Many visitors made use of the opportunity to experience equipment and spare parts exchange in augmented reality with the help of special glasses.
Under the motto „Discover Digital Excellence“, Excellence United took the offensive on Pharma Production 4.0. The attraction and crowd puller of the joint exhibition space of Bausch+Ströbel, Fette Compacting, Glatt, Harro Höfliger und Uhlmann was “The Cube” where the IoT Hub was presented. This modular platform for software development and system integration of entire production lines makes it possible to network machines from Excellence United partners as well as other suppliers. This was clearly demonstrated by the example of a complete, fully integrated system for continuous production of tablets. Digital solutions for life cycle management as well as augmented and virtual reality applications for maintenance and training rounded off the portfolio presented.
The next ACHEMA will take place from June 14 to 18, 2021 in Frankfurt.
