In 2017 Harro Höfliger presented the new corporate design. The turnkey production and packaging lines in particular are given a uniform look and feel – not only visually, but also in the operating logic and documentation. The award-winning design has now been rolled out on the new MQS technology platform, which will be introduced at Fachpack (September 25–27, 2018). The modular system adds to the packaging process to include functions such as weight control, product serialization, coding, tamper evidence, Unique Device Identification (UDI) and labeling.
MQS is extremely flexible and can be easily configured. With this system 300 cartons per minute can be precisely transported, continuously weighed and printed. Depending on customer and product requirements, vignettes can be applied and the tuck-in flaps can be sealed with a tamper-proof label. The complete monitoring of all process steps by control systems such as cameras or sensors ensures that the high quality and product safety standards of the pharmaceutical industry are consistently met.
Everything from a single source
"MQS completes our portfolio of solutions for the packaging process and enables us to cover the entire value chain," explains Markus Pfisterer, Head of the Packaging Division at Harro Höfliger. "For our customers this means that they receive everything from a single source – from product feeding to final packaging in shipping cases – with proven quality.
Depending on customer requirements, all commercially available serialization systems can be integrated into the space-saving installation area. Operation is via the 17.3‘‘ HMI with touch screen. MQS is suitable for folding box formats from 5 to 7.5 inches, format changes are simple and fast with no tools needed. Thanks to its modular design, the system can be further extended with additional functions at any time and adapted to meet future product safety regulations.
