Harro Höfliger GmbH Verpackungsmaschinen GmbH is entering the year 2019 with changes in the chairmanship of the Supervisory Board and a new Commercial Managing Director. After company founder Harro Höfliger resigned as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of his own accord, his son Markus Höfliger now heads the Board. His successor as CFO is Turgay Güngormus who already worked as Managing Director at the Triumph Adler Group and at Kerres Anlagensysteme GmbH.
The new Chairman of the Supervisory Board Markus Höfliger emphasizes that he is handing over his responsibilities as CFO with great confidence: “With Mr. Güngormus, the company gains an experienced Managing Director who has the professional qualifications and personal prerequisites for this position. I am looking forward to being able to concentrate fully on the broader areas of responsibility after the managerial change. The company enjoys ongoing positive development and is strategically well equipped for future challenges.“
CEO Thomas Weller adds: “We would like to thank Harro Höfliger for his dedicated, target-oriented work on the Supervisory Board and are delighted that we were able to appoint Markus Höfliger as Chairman. This means continuity of the family business and the continuation of a trusting, results-oriented working relationship.”
The generation succession in the company is a step that has been carefully prepared for a long time and was introduced in 2001 with the appointment of Markus Höfliger, Thomas Weller and Peter Claußnitzer to the management. Uwe Amann and Heinrich Havenstein completed the management team in 2008. In 2013, Harro Höfliger transferred his company shares to a family foundation. At the beginning of 2018, he took over the chairmanship of the newly founded Supervisory Board, whose members include Siegfried Drost (Uhlmann Pac-Systeme GmbH) and Hartmut Jenner (Alfred Kärcher Alfred Kärcher SE & Co. KG).
