Expansion of services at Harro Höfliger

Allmersbach im Tal, June 24, 2019 – Harro Höfliger has always aspired to be much more than a machine manufacturer and technology supplier. The company has expanded its services and consulting to support customers from the very first idea through the laboratory phase and to production. These services, along the entire product life cycle, have been brought together under a new roof, Process Services. Ten cleanrooms, including three High Potency rooms, for tests, verification and process establishment and a new laboratory will offer customers even greater reliability on the way to the optimum manufacturing process. 

The Process Services include Pharma Services, Engineering & Innovation Services, Device Services and Validation Services. All the services work closely together. 

Pharma Services offers support in the early stages, during the selection, development and optimization of processes. The state-of-the-art laboratory enables a broad range of analyses of customer products. Critical steps are clarified in advance by means of test rigs and manual, semi-automated or fully automated equipment. Original formulations can be processed in a controlled environment in the cleanrooms.

Engineering & Innovation Services deal with the technical development of new processes and procedures. They assist with innovation projects, design experiments and test rigs, conduct feasibility studies and build prototypes. 

The latest division to join Process Services is Device Services, which helps with the development of new devices and medical products and the optimization of existing devices. There is a focus on detecting and minimizing risks, laying the foundation for fast and reliable scale-up to commercial production. Functional and stability tests demonstrate readiness for production. Device Services employees can also take on task work of extensive, highly complicated development documentation on request.

Validation Services follow a risk-based approach to ensuring product quality. The specialists at Harro Höfliger get involved during a system's development stage to identify critical points in the production process and account for them in the system design. This ensures user-oriented, efficient and economic validation processes that take into account the strict GMP guidelines.
