Harro Höfliger has been distinguished by the Employment Agency in Waiblingen for its high apprenticeship ratio and high level of regional commitment. The training certificate was presented by the head of the Waiblingen Employment Agency, Christine Käferle. In her speech, she emphasized the exceptional quality of training at Harro Höfliger: "For many years, the apprentices here have belonged to the best in their training subjects and have been regularly honored by the professional chambers."

Since 2007, the German Federal Employment Agency has bestowed this award to acknowledge companies who excel in the training of young people and assume social responsibility. At Harro Höfliger, the sustained training of its next generation of employees has always been a priority. "To achieve success, we must maintain a technological edge. And for this purpose, we need the best people," says Board Chairman Markus Höfliger. With the HH Academy in Allmersbach im Tal, a dedicated training center has been created for in-house vocational and further training. Moreover, the company has entered into educational partnerships with kindergartens and schools, as well as participates in numerous job fairs in the Rems-Murr area.

Since the start of the apprenticeship program in 1981, almost 400 apprenticeships have been completed in a wide variety of occupations. Moreover, Harro Höfliger offers Cooperative State University courses combining on-the-job training and academic study, as well as a curriculum according to the Ulm model (skilled worker qualification and bachelor's degree). "The objective of each apprenticeship is to subsequently hire the skilled workers and retain their services for the company long-term,“ says head of Human Resources, Uwe Amann. Some 60 percent of all apprenticeship contracts result in a permanent position at the end of the training period.
