Packaging Valley MAKEATHON at Harro Höfliger

Young talents meet specialists to work together on technological challenges: This is the basic idea behind the Packaging Valley MAKEATHON. The second event of this format took place on November 9th and 10th, 2021. At seven locations, concentrating on one topic each, students from different universities worked together with proven experts from the Packaging Valley packaging cluster.

One of the venues was an old radio tower near the HH headquarters in Allmersbach, where “Machine operation of the future” was explored and discussed. Together with specialists from Harro Höfliger, the students elaborated many exciting ideas. The individual working groups at the different venues were connected via digital platforms and presented their approaches and solutions at the end.

The association Packaging Valley Deutschland e.V. comprises around 80 member companies in the packaging industry, making a total of more than 20,000 employees. Next to manufacturers of packaging systems and machines they also include providers of software and automation solutions, manufacturers of components and providers of services for the packaging industry and public institutions.
