Personalized therapy with 2D and 3D printers

DiHeSys Digital Health Systems GmbH, based in Ulm, and Harro Höfliger Verpackungsmaschinen GmbH, based in Allmersbach im Tal, are focusing on a close strategic cooperation in the field of personalized, individualized medicine. The cooperation will lead to the development of GMP-compliant printers and cartridges containing active ingredients for the production of patient-specific thin films and tablets for broad application in hospitals and public pharmacies.

Harro Höfliger is a leading company in the construction of systems for pharmaceutical and medical technology applications. By bundling Harro Höfliger's expertise in machine technology and DiHeSys' know-how in the field of pharmaceutical digital printing and formulation technology, system solutions are developed that enable physicians and pharmacists to prescribe and manufacture individual or personalized medication for patients. Patients have the prospect of improved therapy with fewer side effects.
