Drum TT

Cost efficient: Lab table unit for dosing and testing minimal quantities of powder (manually)

Drum TT allows an easy introduction into lab inspections of powder. The compact filling machine consists of a drum dosing system for minimal quantities (as little as 0.5 mg) and a pneumatic unit to control vacuum and compressed air. Powder formulations can be tested in the galenics and be optimized for series production.

  • Ease of use ensures rapid filling process
  • Clean dosing with no powder residue outside the container
  • Easily expandable from batch series to production standard
  • Highly flexible system for powder, food supplements, metallic dust, etc.
  • Fast verification of the dosing capability
  • Cost-effective equipment to test and optimize powder

Machine features

Roller dosing is a method that allows minimal quantities of powder to be filled into capsules.

The drum filler with vacuum is the best selection for micro-dosing powder. Volumetric dosing is accomplished by filling the dosing holes in the filling drum. This method facilitates micro-dosing of minimal quantities of powder in the milligram range without compression.

Filling pharmaceutical solid ingredients in capsules requires precise dosing methods.

Filling capsules

Various systems for capsule filling allow the dosing of powders, pellets, tablets, micro-tablets, powder blends, active ingredients or liquids. It is even possible to dose capsules into capsules.

A dosing machine fills inhaler reservoirs with powder.

Reservoir filling

Some dry powder inhalers include a powder reservoir for a pre-defined number of dosages. Generally, the defined quantity of active ingredients is filled using an auger filler, but it can also be filled in the lab by means of roller dosing.

Micro-dosing is applied to fill blister cavities with active ingredients.

Filling blisters

The powder filling module of the Drum TT works with a dosing drum. This dosing method allows blisters for DPI inhalers to be partially filled with active ingredient powder.
